Deal: Wenger Vieli advised Norfund as lead investor in connection with the USD 38 mio Series C financing round of candi solar

Wenger Vieli advised Norfund, an investment fund dedicated to supporting clean energy projects in developing countries, on all Swiss legal matters in connection with the Series C financing round of candi solar. The financing round of USD 38 mio was led by Norfund alongside Kyuden International and STOA. This substantial investment aims to scale up solar energy solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in India and South Africa, facilitating the expansion of sustainable energy access in these regions.

Norfund, initiated by the Norwegian government, strategically invests in the development of sustainable projects within emerging markets to foster economic growth and reduce poverty. The fund's commitment to financing clean energy infrastructure significantly contributes to environmental sustainability and supports the global transition towards renewable energy sources.
